Composition Ketoconazole 2% 

Pharmacology: MYCORAL is an antifungal of tie imidazole group, has high and broad - spectrum antifungal activity. The imidazole impairs the biosynthesis of ergosterol, which is a vital component of fungal cell membranes, resulting in increased cellular permeability and consequently inhibit fungal growth. MYCORAL is an antifungal agent which inhibits the growth of the following common dermatophytes and yeasts. Development of resistance to MYCORAL has not yet been reported. MYCORAL cream overcome pruritus which usually be with dermatophytes and yeasts Symptomatic recovery is often occurs before recovery symptoms. Topical application, ketoconazole is not systemically absorbed. 

Indications: Treatment of topical dermatophyte skin infections: Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris, Tinea manus and Tinea pedis caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton menta grophytes, Microsporum canis and Epidermophyton floccosum. Tinea (pityriasis) versicolor caused by Malassezia furfur. Cutaneous candidiasis (including external use in uvulitis) and treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis. 

Contraindication: Hypersensitivity reaction. 

Warnings and precautions: Contact with eyes and mucous membrane should be avoided. If a reaction suggesting sensitivity or chemical irritation occurs. use of the medication should be discontinued. Use with caution in pregnancy and nursing mothers. Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established. 

Side effects: Occasional local irritation and hypersensitivity reactions include mild burning sensation, erythema and itching. Treatment should be discontinued if these are severe.
