Pharmacology: Marine Collagen: Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the body, 60% of the body is made up of connective tissue and collagen represents 80% of all connective tissue. Collagen mostly works on the surface of the skin, prevents wrinkles, helps support cartilage and joint function. Marine Collagen makes skin thicker and more youthful. Equisetum arvense: Horsetail contains the highest amount of silica, which is an important nutrient for healthy hair, skin, nails and connective tissues throughout the body. Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is known for its antioxidant potential and activity in the collagen biosynthetic pathway. Biotin is used in cell growth, the production of fatty acids, metabolism of fats, and proteins. Biotin is indicated for healthy hair and skin, healthy sweat glands, nerve tissue, and bone marrow. Magnesium Amino Acid Chelate: Magnesium is very important for the normal functioning of cells, nerves, muscles and bones. Grape seed extract is a powerful antioxidant and protects collagen and elastin in skin (anti-aging). Zinc Amino Acid Chelate Zinc is closely involved in protein synthesis and in collagen formation in body, both of which are essential in the maintenance of healthy skin and in normalizing production of skin oils. Chelating zinc for skin is seen to be more effective in terms of zinc absorption.
