DESCRIPTION

Amino Acids: Amino acids are the basis of life itself. They consist of nitrogen compounds from which protein is based. They are found in plant and animal tissues and are very easily dissolved by the blood when absorbed and so their positive health effects can be seen instantly. Importance of Amino Acids: The human body does not produce amino acids by itself in most cases and therefore, they must be taken by the body to maintain normal healthy tissues. There are 8 essential amino acids which are the building- blocks of protein. Sources of Amino Acids: Amino acids can be found in meat, egg, fish and some milk products and these supplies all the essential amino acids upon adequate intake. PHARMACOKINETICS

Amino XL is completely and rapidly absorbed from the GI tract upon oral administration and dissolves completely into the serum, however, the excess amount is burnt to produce energy for instant use or deposited as fat. The nitrogen part of amino acids is converted into urea and excreted via the renal route.

INDICATIONS

People on strictly vegetarian diet low in proteins; stressful lifestyle conditions; people on low or restricted diet. Sports conscious and muscle-building sports enthusiasts need high doses of amino acids. Patients on long-term corticosteroids. Chronically ill patients, hospitalized elderly patients, during pregnancy and lactation to meet the increased demand. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Phenylketonurics should not consume Amino XL as it contains phenylalanine. If symptoms persist seek advice from healthcare provider.

SIDE EFFECTS

No known side effect reported, even upon consumption of higher dose.
