Benof Expectorant 100Ml

COMPOSITION

Each 5ml (1 Teaspoonful) contains: Bromhexine hydrochloride B.P 2.0 mg. Guaifenesin B.P. 50.0 mg. Also contains: Menthol, Sodium Citrate, Sugar, Food & Drug approved Colours, Cherry & Orange Flavour. 

INDICATIONS

Benof-EX is indicated for productive cough, and for relief of cough associated with conditions such as chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, or cystic fibrosis.

PRECAUTIONS

Since mucolytics may disrupt the gastric mucosal barrier bromhexine should be used with care in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease. Clearance of bromhexine or its metabolites may be reduced in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment. Guaifenesin is considered to be unsafe in patients with porphyria. 

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Gastrointestinal adverse effects such as nausea and vomiting may occur occasionally particularly in very large doses. Other reported adverse effects include headache, dizziness, sweating, and skin rashes. With bromhexine, a transient rise in serum aminotransferase values has been reported.

OVERDOSAGE

Over dosage of Guaifenesin cause nausea and vomiting.
