Fusid Antibiotic Cream 10G

DESCRIPTION

The active pharmaceutical ingredient of Fusid Cream is fusidic acid in neutral cream base. 

ACTIONS

Fusidic acid is an antibiotic having strong antibacterial activity against several gram-positive organisms. Staphylococci, including penicillin and other antibiotic resistant strains are particularly susceptible to fusidic acid. In addition to powerful antibiotically activity against most of the organisms responsible for skin infections, fusidic acid also possesses unique ability to penetrate to the focus of infection, even when applied to intact skin. 

INDICATIONS

Skin infections caused by Staphylococci, Streptococci, Propionibacterium acnes, Corynebacterium minutissimum and other fusidic acid-sensitive organisms e.g., impetigo, infected wounds, folliculitis, boils, sycosis barbae, carbuncles, hidradenitis, paronychia, erythrasma and acne vulgaris. Fusid Cream does not cause staining and used in the treatment of face and scalp infections. 

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

Apply to the affected area 2-3 times a day, generally for a period of 7 days. 

SIDE EFFECTS

Fusid Cream is usually well tolerated, and the frequency of hypersensitivity reaction is considerably low.
