Paracetamol Oral Solution 100Ml (Spmc)

INDICATIONS

Paracetamol indicate to mild to moderate pain, pyrexia (pyrexia with discomfort in children) 

CAUTIONS

Alcohol dependence; hepatocellular insufficiency, chronic alcoholism, chronic malnutrition, or dehydration. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients/components of the product. Severe and active hepatic impairment. 

SIDE EFFECTS

Side effects rare, malaise, skin reactions including Stevens Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrosis, acute generalized exanthemata’s pustulosis; blood disorders including thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, neutropenia reported; Liver damage and less frequently renal damage following overdosage. 

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS

Keep out of reach of children. Do not take if allergic to Paracetamol. Patients should contact their health care provider if symptoms persist (if the pain lasts for more than 10days, if there is redness or fever lasts more than 3days). Paracetamol should be given with care to patients with impaired kidney or liver function. Large doses should be avoided in patients with hepatic impairment. Paracetamol overdose may harm the liver. Paracetamol provides symptomatic relief only, additional therapy to treat the cause of the pain or fever should be instituted when necessary. 

OVERDOSE

Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if patient seems well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage. Contact doctor or go to nearest accident and emergency department straight away. There may be no symptoms during the first 24 hours although paleness, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain may occur.
